The Chicago River is a system of rivers and canals that run throughout downtown Chicago, and is peppered by draw bridges and barricades. The river is one of Aiden Pearce's greatest weapons in escaping the police as his profiler allows him to lift and lower the bridges, as demonstrated during the E3 Gameplay Video, allowing him to block his pursuers.
